Stock Antique Tractors
Frozen 2018-2020
Driver Eligibility:
1. General rules apply
2. Driver must be 12 years of age or older. Those under 18 years
of age must have written parental/guardian permission.
3. Youth Tractor Safety Certification holders (must provide
certificate) will be allowed to pull.
Safety:
1. Wheelie Bars and skid shoes MANDATORY and must meet
VTPA specifications (refer to diagram in back of book).
2. Vehicle is RECOMMENDED to have at least a fully charged 2
½ lb B/C fire extinguisher on board in reach of operator. A
functional gauge on the fire extinguisher is required.
Chassis-Engines:
1. Stock, out of the field antique farm tractors, 1960 or older.
2. 2 WD (4 WD with front disengaged).
3. No alternate fuels: original equipment only.
4. Must be equipped with hood and grill.
5. No pulling from 3-point hitch or third links (except for Ford
Ferguson). Draw bars must be stationery in all directions.
6. Must have working PTO, if originally equipped with one.
7. Governor bypass or over speeding prohibited. 700 PTO RPM
maximum.
8. If dyno is present at event you may be asked to hook to it.
9. Torque amplifiers only as original equipment.
10. Must have working rear brakes.
11. Tractors must have stock frame, transmission, rear end and
axle housing. Front axles must be safe, sturdy and similar to
stock with a stock wheel base. Crank cases must bolt to
transmission in a stock appearing manner, be of the same
manufacturer as the original crank case, and be of the same
number of cylinders as the original make and model of the
tractor. Heads, blocks (jugs) and manifolds must be of the same
manufacturer as the crank case or that of a recognized
replacement manufacturer. Series engine must match series of
tractor.
Hitches:
1. Maximum draw bar height: 20” to top of fixed hitch (clevis is
not the fixed point).
2. Minimum draw bar length 18” behind center line of axle.
3. Maximum draw bar length 36” behind centerline of axle.
4. Equipped with a hitch point with a minimum 3” x 3 ¾” opening
(standard or twisted clevis excepted).
Tires:
1. Rubber tired standard Ag tread, set in forward rotation.
2. Steel wheels (cleated or lugged) permitted.
3. No cut or ground tires: no duals, studs or chains.
Added Weight:
1. Added weight and/or brackets securely attached to the frame
or wheels. None behind or above rear tires or 11 feet from the
center of rear axle to the furthest point forward. Must not interfere
with hitching. None on seat, platform, footrest, drawbar, 3-point
links, or moved to another tractor in same class under penalty of
removal. Maximum width 10’: redi-rods or attaching bolts will
NOT protrude more than 4” in heaviest weight class. Any weight
lost while hitched to sled DISQUALIFIES. Suitcase weights
allowed.
Weight Classes:
1. Tractor weighed with operator and weighed prior to class.
2. Weight classes- 2500 lbs; 3000 lbs; 3500 lbs; 4000 lbs; 4500
lbs; 5000 lbs; 5500 lbs; 6000 lbs; 7000 lbs; 8000 lbs; 9000 lbs;
10,000 lbs; 11,000 lbs; and 12,000 lbs with driver. All weight
classes may not be offered at all events.
Misc:
1. Tractor may be entered in no more than 2 classes per event-
once per class: no switching of operators within classes. At the
discretion of the officials, additional hooks maybe allowed if not
enough participants.
